Mosa receives coveted Cradle to Cradle Innovation Award

Mosa is the proud recipient of Cradle to Cradle’s prestigious Innovation Award for 2014! The prestigious distinction was handed to us during a lavish celebration event in New York in November, where we received the title of Innovator of the Year. That makes us the first ceramic tile company to gain full Cradle to Cradle Silver certification for its entire tile collection!

About the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute

The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute is a non-profit organization that focuses on transforming how we approach, explore and protect the world’s limited natural resources.  Among its founders are some high-profile individuals such as Brad Pitt and designer Yves Behar.

Mosa’s on-going commitment to sustainability

Sustainability has always been at the core of our business; together with a promise for innovation, quality and creativity. We firmly believe that buildings in the future will be designed responsibly, using only sustainable materials that do not pose any health risks.

Why did Mosa receive this sustainability award?

We received the Cradle to Cradle Innovation Award because of our optimal working conditions and because all of our tiles are chemically inert and very durable, which gives them an extremely long lifespan. How long, you ask? When subjected to normal use, a Mosa tile will look exactly the same one hundred years from now, guaranteed! How can we be so sure of ourselves? It’s all about science. To test the sustainability of our tiles, we use a special test called an independently verified lifecycle analysis (LCA).

Curious about our test results? The EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) sheets for our wall tiles and floor tiles will tell you all about them.
